I was on a discovery call with a client (one of my favorite things to do in my biz) when she told me her goal for 2020 was to get better with money.

After a brief happy dance around the kitchen island (because I love nothing more than women who decide to start a love affair with their money), we got down to business figuring out where she should start.

Now, this client is a rockstar when it comes to hard work.

She’s hustling in a high power position and bringing in $75,000 a year…

…and she’s also working a side hustle as a health coach with the plan of making that her full-time gig once the money is there.

As we chatted about her money goals and the plans for her business, she posed some great questions that really got me thinking.

“Nicole, what worked for you in your business in 2019?”

I had to take a few minutes to think about it before answering…because 2019 has been cray-cray.

But then it dawned on me that I’ve spent all year loving up on my money by setting aside an hour EVERY WEEK for money dates…

…and making my money a priority in my life and biz by spending quality time with it…

…catching up on what it’s been up to…where it went that week…

…and making plans for what we want to do together in the next week.

Carving out this time for my money kept me in control of my finances…and because I always knew where my money was going…

…I was able to make sure it was being spent on things that would grow my business instead of being wasted on shiny things that don’t really align with the mission of my biz.

2019 money dates for the win!

There was something else I did in 2019 that made a big impact…

But the icing on the cake is that I’m totally in love with my biz and these new offerings – which is something money can’t buy!
